The Z240 Series Small Form Factor Workstation from HP delivers powerful performance in a small form factor design and is geared towards professionals who require high reliability. This system is powered by a 3.3 GHz Intel Xeon E3-1225 v6 Quad-Core processor which will allow you to run multiple applications simultaneously. If you need more power, the system can be overclocked to 3.7 GHz using Intel’s Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. The 8GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM helps to ensure smooth multitasking and also allows the computer to quickly access frequently-used files and programs. While the current memory configuration is 1 x 8GB, there are four total memory slots that will allow the RAM to be upgraded to 64GB, using a 16GB module in each of the four memory slots.

For storage of your files, a 2TB 7200 rpm SATA III 3.5″ hard drive offers quick access to your data. If you want to add external storage drives or other peripherals, the Z240 SFF features eight USB 3.0 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, two PS/2 ports, and a serial port. The integrated Intel HD Graphics P630 chipset delivers a sharp, clear picture while allowing for video to be output at resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 using its three DisplayPort 1.2 outputs. Whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game, the integrated Realtek HD ALC221-VB audio controller outputs high definition audio and delivers higher fidelity than standard audio controllers.
